Alenka Erzen Flute

Alenka Eržen, born in 1998, was around 9 years old when she first started playing the flute at a Music
school in Slovenia. Later on she did her Bachelor at Gustav Mahler Privat Universität für Musik in
Klagenfurt, Austria. She is now finishing her Master Degree at GMPU in the class of Adél Oborzil and
teaching flute at Music School Idrija, Slovenia.
She did masterclasses with Michael Martin Kofler, Martin Belič, Erwin Klambauer and others. She
won prizes at national and international competitions. The most recent ones were winning the
absolute and Grand Prize at World Grand Prix International Music Contest and Best Classical
Musicians Awards. She also won the first prize at World’s best musicians competition, Gabriel Fauré
Music World Competition and Servaas International Online Music Competition
She is actively paricipating in concerts, solo and with chamber ensembles. She played as part and also
as a soloist with the Gustav Mahler symphony orchestra and worked with conductors such as Alexei
Kornienko, Nicholas Milton, Andrej Zupan and Martin Fuchsberger.
