Klára Zaykova, a student at Bard College, is currently pursuing degrees in Violin Performance, Philosophy, and Russian. Throughout her high school years, Klára has won top prizes in various international and regional competitions such as the Kocian Violin Competition, Premio Clivis, Zlatý Oříšek, and Nová Paka. In 2021, she was selected to perform at a Masterclass for Gil Shaham. Later that same year, she played under the baton of Semyon Bychkov with the Czech Student Philharmonic. In 2022, Klára and her trio participated in a masterclass with the Horszowski Trio. That year she also won the audition for the position of concertmaster in the Bard Conservatory Orchestra. Outside of her musical career, Klára has been accepted to study philosophy at the Oxford Summer Courses. In 2023, she won the Absolute First Prize in the UK International Music Competition, followed by winning a 1st prize in the IMKA Competition in 2024. Since her childhood, Klára has been a regular attendee of music festivals, with her current favorite being the Ševčík Academy.
