Rebecca, born on February 11, 2012, in Portland, Oregon, discovered her love for the arts at an early age. Even as a young child, she enjoyed performing and entertaining. Growing up in a family of musicians, she started taking piano lessons at the age of 5. Mrs. Valerie McCormic in Vancouver, Washington, became her first piano teacher, instilling in her both a love for the piano and a disciplined approach to her musical training.
After the family’s move to Fort Worth, Texas, Rebecca’s musical odyssey entered a new chapter under the mentorship of the accomplished pianist, Dr. Jin Ah Kwon.
Her commitment and talent were recognized when she achieved a [+Superior] rating at the Carrolton Piano Contest. In a significant accomplishment, Rebecca secured the first prize at the IMKA international competition, marking her entry into the competitive world of piano performance.
Undeterred by success, Rebecca is currently immersed in preparations for upcoming international competitions and piano festivals. Her pursuit of excellence and her passion for the piano drive her to continually refine her skills and embrace new challenges on her musical journey. As she ventures into these diverse platforms, Rebecca remains poised to leave an indelible mark on the global stage of piano performance.
