Adriana Ţidor, Soprano

Born on 12 November 1985 in Cluj-Napoca (Klausenburg) soprano Adriana Ţidor started her
musical adventure at the age of 7 when she began studying violin. Her musical road seemed to come to an
end at the age of 14 when she finished her 8 year studies and wasn’t encouraged to continue with
instrumental music. Her path embraced again music in 2009 when after taking several vocal lessons she
was admited at the Gheorghe Dima National Music Academy under the guidance of professor Ramona
Eremia. She graduated in 2015 the master vocal programme at the same University and in June 2017
graduated the master in opera directing at the same Academy.
During her student years she participated at the class recitals and opera productions such as: “Die
Zauberflöte” (role – Pamina), “Idomeneo-re di Creta” (role – Idamante), “Don Giovanni”( role – Zerlina)
“Suor Angelica” (role – Una Novizia, Suor Infermiera, Suor Genovieffa ), “Elisir d’amore” (role –
Gianetta), “Orfeu ed Euridice” (role – Euridice), “Offenbach Soiree” (role – Antonia, The Tales of
Hoffmann), “Carmen”( role – Micaela).
Since 2014 she began a permanent collaboration with the choir of the Romanian National Opera
in Cluj-Napoca, where as from 2021 she is employed as a lyrical artist. Besides the presence in the choir
she participated as a soloist with small parts in: “The Sound of Music” (role – Sister Margaret), “Dodici
anni dopo” (role – Filomena), “Suor Angelica” (role – Prima sorella cercatrice), “Lăsaţi-mă să cânt”(role
– Ingrid Aladar), “Rigoletto” (role – The Page), “La Traviata” (role – Annina), “Die Zauberflöte” (role –
The Second Child), “Der Schauspieldirektor” (role – Madame Vogelsang). Also in her spare time she
organizes independent concerts with students or colleagues and participates in diverse events as a soloist
keeping active in this field.
She participated at masterclasses with world know masters such as Mariana Nicolesco, Leontina
Văduva, Anna Maria Ferrante , Marian Pop, Florin Ganea and Horiana Brănişteanu.
Roles in study: Norina in Don Pasquale, Adina in Elisir d’amore, Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro.
In competitions she received a Mention in 2020 at the “ Emil Rotundu” International Piano and
Canto Competition, the Special Prize of the Jury at the National Romanian Lieder Competition in
Octomber 2013 and November 2016 and The Third Prize in the National Competition “Lauri” in
November 2018.
