Pia Majeric  Flute

Pia Majerič, born in 2001, is completing her master studies in flute in the class of Univ. Prof. Mag.a Sonja Korak at the Vienna University of music. Before that she contained her Bachelor at the Gustav Mahler Private University where she studied with mag. art. Birgit Brummer, Prof. She also studied for two years in the preparatory course at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz in the class of O. Univ. Prof. Nils Thilo Krämer.

In the 2022/23 academic year, she was in the class of Prof. Anne Dine Björn-Larsen at the HMTM Hannover as part of the Erasmus+ programme.

She won gold and silver prizes at competitions such as Temsig (Slovenian national competition), Euritmia Povoletto, Beethoven international competition, etc. She was also a semi-finalist at the Dutch International Competition and won third prize at the 2023 German Flute Society competition.

She is also a member of a flute duo, with which she was a semi-finalist at the Kuhlau Flute Competition 2023, won first prize at the Paris International Music Competition 2024 and gold prize at the Slovenian national competition 2024. The duo has been regularly performing in Slovenia since October 2023.

She performs with various orchestras and has been a member of the Alma Mahler Music Association since November 2023, a member of Domorchester Klagenfurt and a regular substitute of the Carinthian Symphony Orchestra in the season 2023/2024.

She regularly takes part in masterclasses with renowned flautists such as Martin Belič, Michael Martin Kofler, Sonja Korak, Karl Heinz Schütz, Rachel Brown, Nina Assimakopoulus, Henrik Wiese, Tom Ottar-Andreassen, Anne-Catherine Heinzmann and Emily Beynon
