Hiroharu Ono (Tenor)
Hiroharu Ono,Tenor, is a native of Japan. Graduated from the Tokyo University of the Arts.
He sang as a baritone until 2009, when he switched to tenor. Studied in Rome and Vienna.
He completed the Rome San Lorenzo Musica Masterclass in Italy.
He studied under Miwako Matsumoto, Tadahiko Hirano, and Motoharu Nakajima, and then moved to Vienna(Austria)to study with Jörg Schneider (University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna).
He won the bbc Opera Society Audition Gold Prize in Japan.
He made his opera debut in “La Traviata” (Germont) at the Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre, and switched to tenor in “La Traviata” (Alfredo) at the Kamakura Arts Center in 2009.
Performed at Anfiteatro,Festival di Lucca, Italy.
With his dramatic voice and richly resonant high notes, his operatic repertoire ranges from tenor lilicospinto – dramatic roles.
Friendship Sunny Opera Newcomer of the Year Award and Tenor of the Year Award. Selected for the 44th Italian Vocal Concorso. First Prize at the 23rd Taiyo Canzone Concorso.
First Prize and the Public Service Promotion Association Prize at the 8th Nikko International Music Festival Vocal Competition.
He is a member of the Nikiikai.
Lecturer at Toho Gakuen College of Art and Design.Assistant at Ferris University.
