Urška Fon is a 27-year-old violinist from Slovenia. She began her musical journey with the
violin at the age of nine, later expanding her studies to include piano at the age of twelve.
Her remarkable musical talent led her to continue her education at the Artistic Gymnasium in
Koper, followed by six years of study at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana under the
guidance of prof. Monika Skalar.
During her final year at the Academy, Urška participated in the Erasmus+ programme,
spending three enriching months at the Conservatorio Pollini in Padua, Italy. Over the years,
she has performed with numerous symphonic and chamber orchestras, as well as in a
variety of chamber groups, gaining extensive experience both as a soloist and as an
ensemble musician.
Today, Urška works as a violin teacher at a music school in Slovenia, where she enjoys
sharing her knowledge and passion for music with the younger generation. Alongside her
teaching, she remains an active performer, appearing regularly with several orchestras and
as a member of the String Quartet Orion and Duo Appassionato.
