Francisca Barradas Vaz Galante was born on 10th May 2003. Started her musical studies at the age of 3 years old and entered to the Music School of the National Conservatoire in Lisbon with 6 years old, in the viola class teached with Isabel Pimentel Serra, violist in the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation Orchestra.
Francisca participates in several orchestras, such as the Portuguese Symphonic Youth Orchestra(OSJ) conducted by Christopher Bochmann and, more recently, the Youth Portuguese Orchestra (JOP)conducted by Pedro Carneiro. Besides the orchestral projects , Francisca also sings in the Lisbon University Children Choir (CIUL) since 2010, under the direction of Erica Mandillo.
She attended viola masterclasses with Samuel Barsegian and Ana Bela Chaves.
In 2017 she won the National String Competition “Vasco Barbosa” as violist and the “JOVEM.COM” contest, in the Chamber Music category.
