Julia Bednarska

Julia Bednarska, born in 2004 in Cracow, Poland, is currently in her first year at Fryderyk Chopin Secondary School of Music in Cracow in the cello class of Jacek Kociuban.

 

She has several achievements in music competitions, amongst which are:

 

 

  • 1st prize in IMKA Music Competition Sarajevo ,Bosnia and Herzegovina 2018
  • 3rd Prize in 12th Jan Vychytil Cello Competition in Prague, Czech Republic 2018
  • 2nd Prize in 8th Concorso Internazionale di Ezecutione Musicale “Giovani Musicisti” – Citta di Treviso, Italy 2016
  • 2nd Prize in II National Competition “Cello Miniature”, Warsaw, Poland 2016
  • 3rd Prize in XVIII Regional Competition for Young Violinists, Cellists and Guitarrists, Limanowa, Poland 2016
  • 3rd Prize in V Regional Chamber music Competition, Gdow, Poland 2016

 

Julia perfects her cello playing attending masterclasses of outstanding professors – Zdzisław Łapiński, Andrzej Orkisz, Cecylia Barczyk and also in chamber and orchestral music masterclasses. In the school year 2016/2017 she made her debut at Cracow Filharmonic Hall playing in a school concert and received The City of Cracow Olympic Laurel Wreath for her remarkable achevements in learning and playing the cello.
