William Chang, 16, is a junior at San Francisco University High School (SFUHS). His piano studies started with a group keyboard program at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Dr. Jaejin Lee was his first teacher for group and subsequent private lessons.  Since 2012, he has been studying with acclaimed pianist Dr. Robert Schwartz. William completed the Advanced level of the California Certificate of Merit program and is a finalist at the State Panel Audition this year. He was selected for branch honor recitals and State Convention annually and performed at the San Francisco MTAC branch festivals often. He was a winner at the International eMuse Competition (2018), the Global Great Composers Competition (2018), the American Fine Arts Festival Golden Era of Romantic Music International Competition (2018) and the American Protégé International Piano & Strings Competition (2017, Carnegie Hall performance).  Pianist for the Sunset Youth Orchestra (2013-14) and the pit band of SFUHS spring musicals (2016,17,18), William has also been a proud player of the San Francisco Sabercats ice hockey team since 2007 and SFUHS varsity badminton team since 2016.
