Athanasios Zacharopoulos was born in Athens (Greece) in 1991.

In 1999 he commenced his musical education at Kyiv Secondary Specialized Music Boarding School named after M.V.Lysenko (Ukraine) studying piano and recorder, and in 2003 he started to practice Clarinet, first with Karl Margevka and after with Vasily Goliak and Viktor Duldier.

From 2009 until 2010 he studied Clarinet in P.I.Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine in the class of Roman Vovk, and after he relocated to Greece and began to study in Athens Conservatory. There he studied Clarinet under Spyros Mourikis, and graduated getting his clarinet diploma with honors and Second Prize in 2016.

At the moment Athanasios is a student of the Conservatoire Royal de Mons doing his Master studies in the class of professor Ronald Van Spaendonck.
