Vesela Hristozova was born in 1982 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. She makes her first steps with guitar at the age of 13, learning the first guitar chords from her father, George Hristozov, a self-taught guitarist. Some time later, she starts taking lessons with Ivan Mihaylov and continues her education with classical guitar in high school “St. St. Kiril i Metodiy” in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Later, continuing her education, playing classical and jazz guitar, she earns a Bachelor’s degree in music. After this, she earns a Master’s degree in Musical pedagogy in Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” with instrument classical guitar, where she studies with Prof. Panayot Panayotov. She participates in masterclasses of Prof. Joaquin Clerch (Cuba/Germany). Her interests in music are not limited to guitar only. She is a listener on a regular basis of masterclasses of world famous musicians, such as: Prof. Mincho Minchev (violin), Prof. Dmitri Bashkirov (piano), Emil Ivanov (tenor), Mayumi Hirasaki (baroque musical instruments), Young-Chang Cho (cello), Evgeni Bozhanov (piano). At this time, Vesela Hristozova teaches private guitar lessons (both individual and group) in her home town, Plovdiv.
