Martin Kot was born on 14 July 2002. He lives in Napajedla,Czechia. Martin began to
play the accoridon at the age of 6 at Music School of Rudolf Firkušný in Napajedla.
Currently he is attending the Prague Conservatory, specifically the class conducted by
prof. Ladislav Horák. Martin has won more than 30 international competitions. In
2014 he became winner of the national round of Eurovision Young Musicians and
reached the european final in Cologne, Germany. He is laureate of Accordion days in
Prague, Czechia, International Accordion Competition in Pula, Croatia, International
Accordion Competition in Trossingen, Germany, International Accordion Competition
VAMOE in Vienna, Austria, International Accordion Competition in Ostrava,
Czechia, The American Protégé International Music Talent Competition New York,
USA, VIVO Music Competition New York, USA and Czech National Accordion
Competition. Martin was performing in numerous music festivals – International
Music Festival Dvořákova Praha, International Music Festival Young Prague,
International Accordion Festival Stockholm, Sweden, The Prague Music Festival,
Music Festival Znojmo… In 2020 Martin obtained second prize on one of the most
prestigious accordion competition in the world – CMA Trophée Mondiale. Thanks to
his competitive successes he had opportunities to perform with the Brno Philharmonic
Orchestra and The Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic Orchestra. He was invited to
perform in various cities in Japan in the end of November 2021. In 2022 Martin got an
opportunity to play on concert in Carnegie Hall as a winner of The American Protégé
International Music Talent Competition New York.
