Luna Kup was born in 2009 in California, USA. She has been singing since she was four years old, starting with musical theatre and performing in more than a dozen children’s theatre and community theatre productions. Since age eight, Luna has been training with vocal coach Kathleen Kernohan of The Singing Place in Los Angeles. Under Kathleen’s tutelage, Luna expanded her repertoire to include classical and jazz. In addition to singing, Luna plays the piano, guitar and ukulele, and she is also a songwriter.
In December 2019, Luna was honored to perform at Carnegie Hall in the winners recital of the American Protégé International Vocal Competition, where she won 2nd place in the opera aria and musical theatre categories. In 2021, Luna was a 2nd place winner of the International Grande Music Competition and 3rd place winner of the American Music Talent Competition, both in the classical voice category. She recently won 1st place in voice during the auditions round of the Crescendo International Little Mozarts Competition 2021 and 1st place in voice for her age category at the Muse 2021 International Music Competition. Also, Luna was a Top Ten Finalist in the Song Academy Young Songwriter 2021 Competition with her original pop song, “Fantasy.”
Besides music, Luna enjoys acting, ballet and tap dance, video games, middle school and spending time with her friends and family.
