Giovanni Andrea Pisanu, born in 1996, is an Italian pianist.
Having approached the study of the piano at an early age, he participates in masterclasses
held by internationally renowned Masters, including Roberto Plano, Roland Proell,
Davide Cabassi, Bruno Canino, Eliso Virsaladze, Benedetto Lupo, Giuseppe Albanese, Yaron
Rosenthal.
In 2017 he graduated with full marks and honors at the N. Paganini Conservatory in Genoa
under the guidance of Maestro G. Carlascio, and continues his studies in the class of Maestro D. Cabassi al
Conservatory N. of Piacenza. In 2021 he graduated again at the N. Paganini conservatory in
Genoa with full marks, honors and honorable mention under the guidance of the master Cesare
Castagnoli.
He got numerous first prizes in international competitions: among the most recent victories, he specially
recalls that of the “London Grand Prize Virtuoso 2021”, Platina International “Grand Prize
2021 "," Quebec International Competition 2021 "," Imka International Piano Competition ".
He performs for several concert seasons including: “Giovine Genovese Orchestra”, “Ente
Concerts Castello di Belveglio ”,“ Monferrato Classic Festival ”,“ Liguria Events ”,“ Primavera di
Baggio ”,“ Classicalessandria ”,“ Friends of Carlo Felice and of the N. Paganini Conservatory ”and others.
In May 2017 he collaborated with the Primavera di Baggio and Collettivo 21 association and with
various composers such as: Carlo Galante, Carlo Boccadoro, Federico Gardella, Nicola
Campogrande and Silvia Pepe, to promote the dissemination of contemporary music at MaMu
(Music Warehouse) in Milan.
In 2021 he was selected among all the Italian conservatories as a finalist for the National Award
delle Arti, held in Pescara.
