Ilinca Chiriță-Barbu

Ilinca Chiriță-Barbu is 15 years old and she lives in Romania. Ilinca started playing the flute at the
age of 10, within the Gymnasium School of Arts no 5, in Bucharest. Her professional flute studies
continued at “George Enescu” National College of Music – Bucharest, under the careful guidance of
prof. Dr. Ioana Turcu. Following her national evaluation, she was accepted at “Gheorghe Șincai”
National College where Ilinca is currently studying.
The musical experience, during the 5 years of studying the flute, includes:
• several awards received as a result of participating in numerous national and international
competitions and festivals. The most important are:
-1st prize at International Moscow Online Music Competition-5th edition, Moscow, Russia,
December 2021
-1st prize at Word Open Online Music Competition- 12th edition, Belgrad, Serbia, November 2021
-1st prize at International Youth Music Competition “Nouvelle Étoiles” – 4th edition, Paris, France,
July 2021

  • 1st prize at”Tudor Dumitrescu” International Music Competition, “Dinu Lipatti” National College
    of Arts, Bucharest, Romania, June 2018
  • 1st prize of Excellence and the High Prize of the Woodwind Section, “The Joy of Music” Festival

    Chamber Orchestra of the Gymnasium School of Arts no.5, held at the National Palace of Children,
    Bucharest, 2019.
