Aleksandra Rytwińska – Outstanding Educator Award Violin

Aleksandra Rytwińska – violinist, soloist, chamber musician, teacher.
Aleksandra was born on October 22nd 1990. Since a little girl her dreams were clear – to play the violin and
ride a horse. The first one came true in 1997 as she began her musical education at the Stanisław Moniuszko
Primary School of Music in Jelenia Góra under Ewa Raksa. It turned out as a fruitful mentorship soon after,
as Aleksandra succeeded in various competitions and debuted as a soloist with orchestras in Poland and
In the years 2004-2010 she was studying under Marcin Baranowski in Poznań, at first at the Henryk
Wieniawski Secondary School of Music (in 2013 the School was renamed as the Jadwiga Kaliszewska Secondary
School of Music), then at the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań. Since 2010 her mentor was
prof. Jadwiga Kaliszewska, after whose sudden death Aleksandra has finished BMus in Poznań under Jakub
Haufa. In October 2012 she began her MA studies at the Academy of Music in Cracow (currently named the
Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music) in Rober Kabara’s violin class, where she obtained her degree in 2014.
In 2015 Aleksandra started career as a violin teacher and has worked in various facilities since.
Aleksandra’s most significant achievements as a violinist are:
○ 3 rd place at the Musical Presentations of Young Violinists in Bystrzyca Kłodzka (1999)
○ 1 st place at the Young Violinists’ Confrontations in Świdnica (2002)
○ 4 th place at the Performers’ Competition in Poznań (2003)
○ 2 nd place at the Stanisław Serwaczyński Violin Competition in Lublin (2005)
○ 4 th place at the Eugenia Umińska Violin Competition in Poznań (2005)
○ 3 rd place, the prize for the best performance of a J.S. Bach’s composition and the City of Gdańsk Mayor’s
Prize at the Violin Competition in the memory of Aleksandra Januszajtis in Gdańsk (2005)
○ 3 rd place at the J. S. Bach Competition in Zielona Góra (2007)
○ 4 th place and the prize for the best performance of a Karol Szymanowski’s composition at the Groblicz
Family Violin Competition in Kraków (2007)
○ Semifinalist at the International Violin Competition in Kloster Schöntal, Germany (2007)
○ Semifinalist at the Karol Szymanowski International Violin Competition in Łódź (2009)
○ Qualified participant at the Menuhin Competition in Oslo, Norway (2010)
○ Laureate of the 28 th National Polish Festival of Music Competitions’ Laureates “the Week of Talents” in
Tarnów (2010)
○ Qualified participant at the 14 th International Henryk Wieniawski Violin Competition in Poznań (2011)
○ Most Distinguished Musician Certificate of Recognition as a member of violin-piano duo at the 26 th Annual
International Music Competition 2017 IBLA GRAND PRIZE
Aleksandra’s achievements as a musician led to recognition by various organisations and resulted in
distinctions such as: the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage scholarship, the City of Poznań Prize, Jolanta
Kwaśniewska’s Foundation „Communication Without Barriers” scholarship.
Aleksandra perfected her skills during masterclasses under many oustanding violinists, some of which are:
