Chenxu Li Classical Guitarist

Chenxu Li was born in 1996 in Qinhuangdao, Hebei Province,
China. He studied music from an early age, and his father gave him
his first professional guitar lesson when he was 11. Later, he was
admitted to the middle school affiliated to Tianjin Conservatory of
Music and studied under the guidance of associate professor Qing
He, a Chinese guitar educator and performer. In 2016, he came to
Germany and was admitted to the Hochschule für Musik Detmold,
where he completed his undergraduate studies with Thomas
Kirchhoff, Dale Kavanagh (Amadeus guitar Duo) and Hans-Werner
Huppertz. Now he is studying for a master’s degree with Juan Carlos
Arancibia at Hochschule für Musik Detmold.
From August 28 to 30,2019, he was invited to perform the opening
live concert at the first day of the “Leo Brouwer Training Class,
2019 World Tour in Beijing to Celebrate 80th birthday”. He won the
First Price (Artist Category) in the 2021-2022 Canadian
International Music Competition, He also won First Price (Open
Category) in the 2022 “IMKA” International Internet Music
Competition.
