Oskar Wozniak is a 16 year old double bass player. He started to play it at the age of 10. He attends a
specialized music high school in Torun (Poland). His current teacher is Prof. Joanna Krempec-Kaczor.
Oskar has participated in numerous workshops in Poland and abroad, to name a few: Das Kontrabass
Seminar “Bassini” in Trebnitz (Germany), Double Bass Workshop “Bass Baltica” in Koszalin (Poland),
Master Orchestral Workshop “Luslawice Talent Orchestra” organized by Krzysztof Penderecki European
Music Center in Luslawice (Poland),International master class in music “Janowieckie Interpretacje
Muzyki” in Janowiec (Poland).
Oskar is a laureate of Polish and international competitions: Grand Prix winner in 7th Wiktor Gadzinski
Polish Double Bass Contest in Katowice (2019), Special Prize winner for artistic creation in 5th West
Pomerania Contest for Cello and Double Bass in Pyrzyce (2019), the winner of 20th Polish Contest for
Cello and Double Bass in Malbork (2018). He has also received the 2nd place at the 4th National Cello and
Double Bass Tournament in Warsaw (2020), 2nd
place at the International Music Competition “IMKA” in
Bosnia and Herzegovina (2020), 1st place at the North International Music Competition in Sweden
(2020), 1st
place and Grand Prix at the 6th National Cello and Double Bass Competition in Kowalewo
Pomorskie (2020), 1st
place at the International String Instrument Competition in Elbląg (2021), 3rd place
at the American Music Talent Competition in USA (2021), 3rd place in 6
th Odin International Music Online
Competition (2021), 1st place at the International Music Competition “IMKA” in Bosnia and Herzegovina
( 2022).
Oskar also performed with the Torun Symphony Orchestra as a soloist (2020).
Oskar receives as well the scholarship from The Polish Children Fund in Warsaw since 2019.
Moreover, He has recently received a scholarship from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage
(2020,2021).
