Natalia Giannaki is a Greek young pianist born in 5 August 2000, in Preveza. She began
piano lessons at the age of 10. In the age of 17 she passed with flying colors the diploma
exams (excellent performance, first award, gold medal) in the municipal conservatory of
Preveza having Dimitra Apostolidi as professor.
She is laureate in many international and national competitions in Europe, America and
Canada: second award in the national competition of Larissa municipal conservatory in the
age of 16 , second award in the national competition of “filonas” in Athens (in the latter first
award wasn’t given) in the same age, second award in the national competition Orpheus
soloists in the age of 20 ,third prize at the international piano competition “music and stars
awards” in Estonia in professional category (over 28 years old) in the age of 20, third prize at
the international piano competition “Franz Liszt center” in Spain (in category 18-32 years
old) in the age of 20 , third prize at the international piano competition nouvelles etoiles in
France (category 20 -22 years old) in the age of 20 too ,third prize at the international piano
competition 21 st century talents in Canada (category 18 years old and above –professional)
in the age of 20, third prize at the international Moscow piano competition( in category 18
years old and above) in the age of 20 too, second prize at the international piano
competition Adria art fest 2021 in Slovenia (category 18-24 years old) in the age of 21,first
prize at the international competition “art rogaska” in Austria-Slovenia (in category without
age limit) in the age of 20 and first prize at the international competition Istra Star in Croatia
(in category without age limit )in age of 20 too.
She has also won a block grant in the age of 20 from the American Scheer Foundation
after an international research of young talented pianists under the age of 30. She has also
been granted a scholarship from the State Scholarships Foundation of Greece.
She has given solo recitals in many Greek cities such as Athens, Larissa, Karditsa, Florina
Ptolemaida, Thessaloniki, Pelion, Chania. She’s invited to play in Slovenia, Croatia, Canada
and Austria because of the competitions she has won.
Furthermore, she has performed as soloist at Thessaloniki concert hall the Mozart
concerto in d minor K 466 and the Beethoven in c major with the orchestra of state
conservatory of Thessaloniki in Thessaloniki piano festival. In Thessaloniki concert hall she
has participated in 2 concert-projects which concerned the first and second Viennese school
in which she has interpreted Haydn sonata in e minor ,and the 32 sonatas of Beethoven in
which she has interpreted two sonatas, op.31 no 1 in g major and op.53 no 21 in c major
known as Waldstein. She has appeared to the major stages of her home country.
She, moreover, was chosen among 24 others to perform in the Greek national opera for a
solo recital. She has recorded for the Greek national radio as well (ERT).
She also participated in multiple masterclasses with renowned professors such as
Charalambos Agelopoulos with whom she attended lessons for three years, Dimitris Toufexis
with whom she attended piano and orchestral masterclass in Athens, Vassilia Efstathiadou,
and also seminars of state orchestra of Athens specifically with Efi Papathomaidi , Ivy
Papathanassiou and Michael Smirnov
