Gustavo Vieira Rebelo, 15 years old

Gustavo Vieira Rebelo began his viola studies at age 8, under Prof. Hazel Veitch’s orientation, moving on later to Prof. Hugo Diogo. He has been oriented by Prof. Lúcia Lima since 2015. Throughout his academical career, he has participated in several Concerts, Masterclasses and Competitions; among these, the ones that stand out the most are the 1st Prize in IX Concurso Nacional Paços’ Premium (2015), the 1st Prize in the Grand Prize Virtuoso International Competition London, the 1st Prize in the Grand Prize Virtuoso International Competition Vienna, the 1st Prize in the Golden Classical Music Awards (New York) and, most recently,  the 1^st Prize in the IMKA International Music Competition(Sarajevo), all of which in 2017; Gustavo Rebelo has had Masterclasses with Jean-Loup Lecomte, David Wyn Lloyd, António Pereira, Emerson de Biaggi and Ana Bela Chaves. He has also worked with various renouned conductors, such as Pedro Andrade, Ernst Schelle, Jean-Sébastien Béreau, among others.
