Duo “CRESCENDO” – Bratislav Zlatković – flute and Vesna Petković – guitar there since 2005. Has performed evening concerts in the Hall of Nis Symphony Orchestra, the hall “Madlenianum” in Zemun, concert halls in Novi Sad, Leskovac, Negotin, Požarevac, Vranje, Novi Pazar and other towns in Serbia, concert hall – Banski Dvor in Banja Luka (the Republic of Srpska). The duo had successful concerts at international festivals in Greece, Italy and Bulgaria. They introduced themselves as soloists with the Academic Chamber Orchestra with a conductor Milena Injac in Serbia and at international festivals in the cities of Murcia, Cartagena, Cieza, Tore Pacheco (Spain) and the cities Pernik, Sofia, Kyustendil (Bulgaria). Duo “Crescendo” performs original music for flute and guitar as well as arrangements of classical music prepared for this composition.
BRATISLAV ZLATKOVIĆ (1961) graduated in Flute at the Music Academy in Sarajevo. He has performed as a soloist and a member of chamber ensembles in Niš, Belgrade, Sarajevo, Zagreb and Ljubljana. During his rich music career he has also dealt with popular music. He has recorded six albums published by Production of gramophone records – Radio Television Serbia. As a composer, arranger and a performer – multiinstrumentalist, he performed in the concert regions throughout former Yugoslavia and was a guest of the greatest radio and TV stations. His composer`s opus includes also music for the theatre, animated and feature-length films, for which he has obtained several times prestigious awards at national and international festivals.
In the field of artistic music he wrote oratorio “At the crossroads” for narrator, soloists, chorus and symphony orchestra, which were opened “20th International Choral Festival ” in Nis. He has made a recording of vocal and instrumental works, “This is my country” ( “The Great War”) in the study of RTS, in the hall of Kolarac-Belgrade, with soloists and the Symphony Orchestra and Choir of Radio Television Serbia. He published “Vergul – Art” by the Faculty of Arts of the University of Nis, a printed version (scores) as well as audio CD with 15 original compositions for chamber ensembles. These publications have had their promotions at the Faculti of arts in Niš, and to the evening concert of Bratislav Zlatković in the International musical ceremony NIMUS in Niš.
He has performed as a soloist and arranger with the Chamber Orchestra of Students’ Cultural Centre (SKC) at the concerts in the cities of Spain and Bulgaria. He has presented himself with a concert activity to the audience of Greece, the Republic of Srpska, Bulgaria, Serbia. He is the art director and one of the founders of the Naissus Guitar festival in Niš. In 2005, he founded the duo Crescendo (flute/guitar, guitar/guitar) together with Vesna Petković, MA, holding together numerous concerts in Serbia, the Republic of Srpska, Greece, Bulgaria and Italy and performing as guest–soloists with the Academic Chamber Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra of the Faculty of Arts in Serbia, Spain and Bulgaria. From 1993, he worked as a pedagogue at Secondary Music School (Flute), in 1994 he became the teacher at Music College (second instrument – Guitar), and since 2004 he has been at Department of Chamber Music at the Faculty of Arts, currently in title of the Associate Professor.
VESNA PETKOVIĆ, MA (1959), studied the Guitar at the Music Academy in Zagreb, in the class of prof. Stanko Prek, Ivan Korunić and Darko Petrinjak, in whose class she graduated in 1983. She obtained her MA degree at the Faculty of Music Arts in Belgrade, in 2006, in the class of prof. Vera Ogrizović. She has upgraded her skills at the masterclasses of renowned national and international pedagogues and artists in the country and abroad: Leo Vitosinski, Luis Zea, Jordi Kodina and Rafael Andia.
Since 1984, she has performed as a soloist and with different chamber ensembles. Since 2000, she has performed more intensively as a soloist and in the Duo Crescendo – guitar-flute, together with a flutist Bratislav Zlatković in Serbia, Greece, Spain, Bulgaria, the Republic of Srpska and Italy. She presented her solo at the Guitar Art Festival in Belgrade, at the Concert of Serbian guitarists. She has also performed as a soloist with the Symphony Orchestra of the Faculty of Arts Nish, and Symphony Orchestra of Nish with a conductor Milena Injac, and Viktor Correa-Cruz (Spain). She recorded 2 solo CDs.
She was teaching guitar in Novi Sad, at the secondary music school in Leskovac, and at the Higher Music School in Niš. Over 30 guitarists graduated from her class, who now work throughout the former Yugoslavia and abroad. She has been teaching at the Faculty of Arts in Niš since 2000 and now is an associate professor at the Guitar Course.
She has held many master workshops, seminars and many times was a member of the jury at the many festivals: Guitar Art Festival Belgrade, Naissus Guitar festival Niš, Festival in Pozarevac, Leskovac, and other cities of Serbia, as well as at the International festivals in Bulgaria and Slovenia. Since 1997. as a former Aikidoka, she explores the use of the Ai-Ki principle and Ki-energy in playing guitar and hold workshops on this subject.
She is the founder of the International Guitar Festivals in Leskovac and Niš. She is the director of the Naissus Guitar Festival in Nis.
