Byung Sook Kong is from South Korea and a doctoral piano performance student in University of North Texas. She graduated master and professional studies in San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She is First Prize winner of American Protege international Music Talent Competition, and will perform at Carnegie hall this December. She were also First Prize winners of the Korea and America Competition, Korea Piano Association Young Artist Competition, National Young Artist Piano Competition, and Chungnam Province Young Artist Competition in Korea. She awarded Minister of Education Commendation, Superintendent Education Commendation, and Genius Scholarship of Performing Arts Foundation in South Korea. She received Academic Achievement Scholarship from Music School of University of North Texas, Travel Grants from Toulouse Graduate School and Music School of University of North Texas, M.M Scholarship from San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and P.S.D. Scholarship from San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She was an adjunct professor in Sookmyung Women’s University, Hyupsung University, Chungju National University, Korea Nazarene University, and Chungnam Art High School in South Korea. She was a Jury member for Edu-Classic Piano Competition, National U Rok Music Competition, and National Teenager Competition in South Korea. She performed Byung Sook Kong piano recitals, chamber concerts, and many other concerts with many orchestras. Now, she is a member of Pi Kappa Lambda, Music Association of Korea, Arpeggio Piano Ensemble, and Piano Duo Association.
