Born in South Korea, Soyoung Park is 1st prize winner of IMKA Music Competition ,she began playing the piano at age three. She earned her M.M. degree at Michigan State University, and is currently pursuing a DMA degree at University of Minnesota under the guidance of the Distinguished McKnight Professor Lydia Artymiw. She is also the recipient of theTeaching Assistantship, Regents Scholarship, and Centennial Piano Fellowship. Soyoung is a prize winner of many competitions including Danube International Concerto Competition (Budapest)and Thursday Musical Young Artist Scholarship Competition (USA). She gave her performance at Weill Recital Hall in Carnegie Hall three times in recent years. Also, she was invited to perform at many festivals,including Bowdoin International Music Festival(USA), Orford Academy (Canada) and Music Fest Perugia (Italy) among others. Recently, she performed with Virtuosi Brunenses Orchestra in Italy and Danube State Orchestra in Hungary. Ms. Park loves sharing her music with the public and has given many charity recitals in Korea and USA.
