Light-lyric coloratura soprano Christina Thé is a Master of Arts graduate of the Royal Academy of Music in London and a Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Music.
Her vocal training includes advanced vocal courses at Europe’s leading institutions Accademia Musicale Chigiana (Italy), Academie de Musique Tibor Varga (Switzerland), and at Centro Universale di Bel Canto (Italy).
Christina is currently the Artist-in-Residence of the New Opera Singapore (NOS).
She is a prizewinner of the internationally recognised Australian Concerto and Vocal Competition in 2016, Open Vocal section.
Christina actively participates on the operatic stage, with principal roles such as Poussette (Manon, OperaBox), Amore and Valetto (L’incoronazione di Poppea, New Opera Singapore), Najade (Ariadne auf Naxos, OperaBox), and Second Lady (The Magic Flute, Singapore Lyric Opera). She has also sung the title role ‘Iolanthe‘, with Gilbert & Sullivan Society of Western Australia.
August 2018 will see her performing the role of Sister Constance in Poulenc’s “Dialogues of the Carmelites” with New Opera Singapore.
