Justyna Grudzień was born in 1999 in Poznań (Poland). At the age of seven, she started playing the violin in the Tadeusz Szeligowski 1st Level Music School in Poznań. Her first teacher was Hanna Szulc (MA). Then she was taught by Wojciech Maliński (Phd) and Karina Gidaszewska (Phd) in the Mieczysław Karłowicz State Music School Complex in Poznań. Justyna has been honored with numerous awards in various international competitions, including International Music Competition in Belgrade (1st prize), International Young Violinists Competition “I will be a virtuoso” in Cracow (1st prize), International String Competition in Elbląg (2nd prize), Young Paganini International Violin Competition in Legnica (2nd prize) etc. and several nationwide competitions such as Polish Nationwide A. Januszajtis Violin Competition (1st prize), Polish Nationwide Competition „Violin Talents“ (1st prize and special award for the best contestant) etc. She was a member of Young Person’s Jury at 14th and 15th Henryk Wieniawski Violin Competition. As an orchestra member she performed with several reputed orchestras, for example European Music Campus Orchestra, European Youth Orchestra, Gustav Mahler Academy Orchestra. This year she starts studying in the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań and is going to participate in such prestigious competitions as Karol Szymanowski International Music Competition or Ernst & Szymanowski International Violin Competition.
