Alexander Suren Zhamakochyan-
12 years old pianist

Alexander was born on the 26th of July, 2006 in Gyumri, Armenia. He has started his musical career at the Varduhi School of Art in Gyumri playing the flute, but from year 2 started mastering the piano. Currently he is a fourth year student with a well experienced teacher Suren Zhamakochan (also his father).
In 2016 and 2017 within the framework of the “Renaissance” International Festival, he attended master classes in Austria and toured with concerts around Italy and Slovenia. The same year, he was backed with the full scale Symphony Orchestra for the first time in his native home-town with the Mozart Concert number 11.
Since 2018 he is a recipient of the “Atken Armenian” Foundation (Canada) grant. He has attended master clases of M.Voskresenski, Y. Margulis, S. Saradjev. In November 2018 he participated V. Kranyev’s Intenational Pianist Competition and is through to the second stage. He is known as a very active student touring around with concerts and is a big fan of classical music.
