Mafalda Galante was born in September 1999 and she is in her 1st year of the bachelor music course at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, studying with Nathaniel Vallois. She started her musical studies at the age of 6 and entered to the Escola de Música do Conservatório Nacional in Lisbon in the violin class teached by Marylin Brito.  She finished the Professional instrumental performance course in 2018 with the violin tutor Pedro Lopes.

Mafalda has already participated in several youth orchestras, such as the Portuguese Symphonic Youth Orchestra(OSJ), conducted by Christopher Bochmann and, more recently, the Youth Portuguese Orchestra (JOP), conducted by Pedro Carneiro.

Mafalda had already masterclasses with several violinists such as Gwendolyn Masin, Christoph Schickedanz, Ana Pereira, Eliot Lawson and Tatiana Samouil.

Since she began her violin studies, Mafalda has been participating in several violin competitions and she was presented with several prizes in national and international competitions.
