Jadwiga Roguska

Jadwiga Roguska is a Polish cellist, student at Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien in Vienna (Austria) in class of prof. Maria Sellner and at Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw (Poland) in cello class of prof. Tomasz Strahl and as. Mateusz Szmyt.
Since 2017 Jadwiga has been a member and cofounder of Cuore Piano Trio with Zuzanna Małgorzata Budzyńska (violin) and Szymon Ogryzek (piano). Musicians won several of the international chamber music competitions, such as the France Music Competition (1 prize in 2020), the Quebec International Music Competition in Canada (1st prize in 2020) or the 3rd Brilliant Talent Discovery Awards International Music Competition in Singapore (1st prize in 2019). Cuore Piano Trio has also been awarded the 1st prize in the International Music Competition “For Concert Tours to China” in Denmark (2020), which is going to result in a concert tour in China (2021) consisting of 10 recitals, where the ensemble is going to perform the Polish composers’ forgotten chamber music masterpieces. In 2019 Cuore Piano Trio won the “Stage for the Polish Music” programme organised by the Institute for Music and Dance (one of the leading cultural institutions in Poland), which allowed them to perform a debut recital in the National Philharmonic Hall in Warsaw, as well as in the Świętokrzyska- and Warmińsko-Mazurska Philharmonic Halls. In 2018 they were invited to represent Poland at the Russian-Polish “Youth Academy of the Arts” Festival in Russia, where they performed several times in the most prestigious museums of Moscow. In 2020 a renowned Polish label DUX Recording Producers released a set of 6 CDs, which present the unknown Polish music performed by various young Polish artists. Out of all the musicians, Cuore Piano Trio’s recordings were published in the biggest amount – the works of Franciszek Lessel, Ignacy Feliks Dobrzyński and Artur Malawski last almost 60 minutes and can be streamed on Spotify, Apple Music etc.
Jadwiga is also active in the orchestral field. Since 2020 she is a member of Wiener Jeunesse Orchester, what gave her the possibility to perform in Viennese Musikverein in October and in July during Carintischer Sommer Festival in Villach (Austria) with worldwide famous percussionist Martin Grübinger. In the past she collaborated with international orchestras such as: Animato Foundation Orchestra, The World Orchestra, The Baltic Academies Orchestra, Orchestra Excellence (during former Suoni dal Golfo Festival, today Lerici Music Festival) or The Ljubjana International Orchestra (Festival Ljubjana). The participation in international projects in 2018 allowed her over 40 concerts in 13 european countries.
The cellist regularly participates in international courses and masterclasses intensively developing her musical skills. She worked with Professor such as: Jens Peter Maintz, Arto Noras, Kirill Rodin, Claus Reichardt, Reinhard Latzko,, Denis Severin, Claudio Bohorquez and Gotthard Popp.
In 2020/2021 Jadwiga Roguska is a scholarship holder of the Polish Minister of Culture and National Heritage, the scholarship for the best artistic students of the Marshal of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship, as well as of the Rector of the F. Chopin University of Music in Warsaw for the best students. In 2019 she was awarded with Zonta Club of Poland scholarship for the best artistic female students.
Additionally to her classical music studies in 2019 Jadwiga graduated with the Bachelor degree in german studies from the University of Warsaw, the Faculty of Neophilology.
