Maria Lewicka

Maria Lewicka is A bachelor’s student at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Białystok in the flute class of
Professor Krystyna Gołaszewska.
In 2019 she studied at the Zurcher Hochschule der Kunste in Zurich in Maria Goldschmidt-Pahn’s
flute class and in 2020 at the Universitat der Kunste Berlin in Christina Fassbender’s flute class.

She took part in many masterclasses in Poland and abroad, including she has participated in many
masterclasses with Sir James and Lady Jeanne Galway, Peter Lukas Graf, Walter Auer, Denis and
Erin Bouriakov, Andrea Lieberknecht, Carlo Jans, Christina Fassbender, Elisabet Franch, Olga
Ivusheikova, Kersten Mccall, Janos Balint, Nicola Mazzanti, Patricia Morris, Gudrun Hinze, Marta
Rossi.
She has won awards at numerous competitions both solo and in chamber ensembles.

In July, as a scholarship holder of the Minister of Culture of Luxembourg, she participated in a
masterclass at the International Forum for flute and piano (Diekirch, Luxembourg).
In November 2018 she won the Gold Diploma at the “FINALIS 2018” International Flute
Competition and in 2019 she was finalist of the Dutch International Flute Competition 2019 in the
Netherlands. In July 2019 she participated in the 30th Anniversary Galway Flute Festival in Weggis,
Switzerland and in the International Piccolo Festival in Grado, Italy.
In January 2020, she performed at the KKL Cultural and Congress Centre in Lucerne as part of the
Gala Concert on the occasion of the 80th Sir James Galway’s birthday at the Galway Flute
Academy.
In 2019 and 2020, she received a scholarship from the Marshal of the Mazovian Voivodeship and
the Rector of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw.
In 2020 she was successfully recruited and in July this year she will participate in Galway Flute
Festival in the flute class of Sir James Galway.
In 2020 she won second prize at the International Music Moscow Competition 2020.
In December 2020, she recorded an album with film music by Ennio Morricone with the National
Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra in Warsaw.
In 2021 she won first prize at the I. International Competition of Music and Arts in London and
Lisbon, first prize at the London Young Musician, second prize at the III. Wiener Klassiker Danubia
Talents International Online Music Competition, third prize at the International Online Competition
Magic Muse in Moscow and third prize at the American Music Talent Competition, distinction at
the Superior Culture International Youth Music Festival 2021.
