
Barbara Pliszka was born in Olsztyn on December 19, 2003. She began learning to play the violin at the
age of 7 at the Fryderyk Chopin State Music School of the 1st and 2nd degree in Olsztyn. Currently, she
is a student of the 5th grade at the Mieczysław Karłowicz Poznań General Secondary Music School in
the class of prof. Izabela Gubańska. While studying, she actively participates in the artistic life of the
school and the city of Poznań. In recent years, Basia has taken part in over 80 competitions as a soloist
and chamber musician in various ensembles (from duet to nonet), winning numerous laurels and awards.
She improves her violin skills at music workshops and instrumental courses with outstanding teachers
such as: prof. Karina Gidaszewska, prof. Łukasz Błaszczyk, prof. Konstanty Andrzej Kulka, prof.
Magdalena Szczepanowska and prof. Małgorzata Skorupa.

In 2016 and 2018, she received an artistic scholarship from the Marshal of the Warmian-Masurian
Voivodeship for people involved in artistic creation, promoting culture and taking care of monuments.
In 2019 and 2020, she received a Rotary Club scholarship for the most talented youth of the Warmia and
Mazury region.
In 2019, she received the ‘Talenty Olsztyn’ award from the Pro Culture and Art Association in Olsztyn.
