Evangeline Lien, violist
Evangeline Lien was born in Nov. 2009, California, began her piano lessons at the age of 6 and made her public piano debut recital at the age of 9 at the Claremont Community School of Music. She won the 1st prize of the John Walker Competition in 2018 as a pianist. At the age of 8, she started to play the violin. The unique sound of the viola had attracted her attention at that time, so soon she decided to switch to the viola at the age of 9. She as well received the 1st prize in the John Walker Competition as a violist in 2019. She was frequently invited to perform in the mayor recitals and local senior home in the past years. Besides playing the music, she enjoys reading and travelling with her family. In 2021, she won several competitions:
