Andrzej Godek – in 1975 graduated with honours from the Kraków Higher State School of
Music in the clarinet class run by Prof. Stanisław Przystaś. As a soloist and performer of
chamber music, he has toured many countries, including Austria, Belarus, France, Germany,
the Netherlands, Sweden and Ukraine. He has participated in many music festivals. He has
also made several world premieres of Polish contemporary music and Polish premieres of
foreign composers’ works as well as many recordings for the Polish Radio, DUX, Cambria
Master Recordings and Musiques Suisses.
As a soloist of the Polish Radio and Television Orchestra (later Radio Symphonic Orchestra
in Kraków), not only has he performed in most European countries and Latin America, but
also made numerous recordings for the Polish Radio and Television as well as various record
labels.
Since 1975, he has been working as a teacher in the Academy of Music in Kraków – currently
as a full professor in the Chair of Wind Instruments, Percussion and Accordion. He has also
run courses and master classes in Poland, Belarus and Ukraine.
