TAMURA Atsushi

Photo Atsushi Tamura was born on January 31, 1992 in Hamamatsu, Japan.

He started playing the piano at the age of 4.

His mother is a pianist, and he received his first lessons at the age of 4.

When he was 8, he started studying under Kumiko Miyamoto.

He had studied from 13 to 18 years old under Hironao Suzuki who was awarded a special prize in International Tchaikovsky Competition.

He joined the Hamamatsu International Piano Academy in 2005, 2007 and 2008, where he got lessons from Hiroko Nakamura who is one of the most famous pianists in Japan.

After studying at the Hamamatsu International Piano Academy, he performed on the famous music TV program thanks to her recommendation.

He graduated from Hamamastu Gakugei high school at the top of the music course in 2010.

In August 2013, he took part in Russian Piano School In Tokyo as a master class student of Pavel Nersessian, and Andrey Pisarev.

In 2015, he graduated from Toho Gakuen school of music where he studied under Katsurako Mikami and Takahiro Hoshino.

He got a top grade at Toho Gakuen school of music and he was offered a scholarship from the Fukushima scholarship association.

In 2014, he performed “Sergey Rachmaninoff 3 concert” with the chamber music conducted by Mayu Sakaki in Tokyo.

After he had graduated from Toho Gakuen school of music, he moved his base to Moscow, Russia. He studied at Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatoire under Sergey Koudriakov.

He has performed in various concert halls in Japan and Moscow, such as Rachmaninoff Hall and Small Hall and Myaskovsky Hall in the Moscow Conservatoire, Big Hall of Bunkyo Civic Hall, Tokyo Operacity Recital-hall, and Small Hall of Tokyo Bunka Kaikan.

He is a winner of many competitions.

He was awarded 1st prize of International Music Competition Belgrade Serbia in 2019,1st prize of International Music Competition “Grand Prize Virtuoso” Paris Competition and London Competition in 2019, 1st prize of Pro Artists Winter 2018 Edition International Music Competition(France),2nd prize at the Moscow International Slav music competition-Festival in 2017(Russia),4th prize at the Moscow International Slav music competition-Festival in 2016(Russia),1st prize at the PTC Hamamatsu Piano Competition in 2004(Japan), and 4th prize of 25th Soleil Music Competition in 2007(Japan). In addition, he is a prizewinner of OSAKA International Music Competition SectionⅡEnsemble in 2013(Japan), PTNA Piano Competition in 2000, 2002 and 2005(Japan).

He has a huge repertoire, from baroque to contemporary works.

He has received masterclasses of Alexander Jenner, Mikhail Voskresensky, Gyorge Nador, Michel Beroff, and others.

He is currently studying under Sergey Koudriakov and Katsurako Mikami.
