Born in 1995, American pianist Emily Phan has been studying the piano for 19 years since the age of 4. She has had the opportunity to perform at venues such as the Richard M. Nixon Presidential Library, Carnegie Hall in NY and throughout the US and Europe. Emily was named “National Winner” for four consecutive years in the National Guild Piano Auditions. She has won gold medals in the Music Teachers’ Association of California (MTAC) Theme Festival and won the first place prize in the Musical Arts Competition. She has participated in festivals including International Institute for Young Musicians (IIYM) and Duxbury Music Festival (DMF). Miss Phan recently made her second Carnegie Hall Debut in NYC as a winner of the American Fine Arts Festival. For winning first prize in the Grand Prize Virtuoso International Competition, Phan will be performing at the Mozarteum Concert Hall in Salzburg, Austria. Emily graduated with her Bachelor’s degree from Pepperdine University studying under Rufus Choi. Besides piano, Emily enjoys singing, yoga, and studying Feng Shui.
