(born October 13, 1985 in Yerevan, Armenia) started to play
piano at the A. Ter-Ghevondyan Music school, then she continued her piano studies
at the Al. Spendiaryan Music school with Prof. Arkuhi Harutyunyan.
Mkrtchyan holds Bachelor of Music and Master of Music in piano performance
from Yerevan State Conservatory Komitas with Prof. Suren Zaqaryan and Prof.
Karine Ohanyan, then moved to Germany in 2010, to continue her musical education
at the Leopold Mozart Center of Philosophy and Social Sciences of the University of
Augsburg (Christine Olbrich, Prof. Christoph Hammer). She graduated in Augsburg
with the high distinction.
In 2014 she became a “Germany” Scholarship. From 2015 to 2017 Liana
Mkrtchyan has taught Korrepetition at the LMZ of the University of Augsburg.
She was participated in Masterclasses of Prof. Gabriel Dobner (James
Madison University), Prof. Hans-Christian Wille (Germany), Wolfgang Manz
(Germany), Dang Tai Son (Vietnam), Vladimir Viardo (Russia/USA).
Liana Mkrtchyan is an award winner of national and international piano
competitions, including Siegfried Gschwilm Piano Prize in Augsburg, Germany, 3.
Prize by Feurich International Competition for Piano, Voice and Chamber Music in
Vienna, Austria.
