SAMUEL HERNÁNDEZ IMBERNÓN, a native of Torrevieja (Alicante), began his musical studies at the Escuela de Música de la Unión Musical Torrevejense, under the guidance of Juan de Dios Fresneda, joining in 2015, as head musician of the same being then his conductor Jaime Belda Cantavella.
He finished his studies of Elementary Education in 2016, at the “Francisco Casanovas” Professional Music Conservatory of Torrevieja, specializing in Tuba, with Jose Luis Rico Valero.

Nowadays, he is taking the 5th Course of Professional Education at the Professional Conservatory of Music of Almoradí, in the specialty of Tuba, with his teacher Jose Antonio Mira Ñíguez, his current age being 16 years.
He has received weekly classes from Jose Manuel López Sanchez (Tuba and Tuba Soloist Teacher of the Ciudad de Elche Orchestra) since 2014.
In addition, he receives classes monthly in the “Spanish Brass” Tuba Classroom, with professors Vicente López Velasco (Professor of Tuba at the Superior Conservatory of Music of Alicante) and Sergio Finca Quirós (Professor of Tuba and Solo Tuba of the Spanish Brass Quintet) since 2015, as well as with Daniel Llosá Peñarrocha (Tuba Teacher at the Professional Conservatory of Liria) since 2017.
He’s a member of the Spanish Association of Tubas and Euphoniums (AETYB).
As a band musician, apart from being the titular musician of the “Unión Musical Torrevejense”, currently headed by Carlos Ramón Perez, in 2016 he was selected as a Tuba to be part of the Symphonic Band of “Las Provincias”, performing among others in the auditoriums of Alicante, Palau de la Música in Valencia, and in the Palau de les Arts “Reina Sofía”, under the direction of Mercedes Femenia.
In addition, in 2019 he has been selected to be part of the Vega Baja – Baix Vinalopó Comarcal Symphonic Band of the FSMCV and the Comarcal Solidarity Band for the purposes of DANA.
As an orchestral player, in 2016 he entered the Alicante Province Youth Orchestra (Aspirantes – Musicians section up to 14 years) through the access audition, occupying the position of Principal Tuba until today, being its principal conductor Juan Miguel Antón García and in 2017 he passed the selection auditions, obtaining the place of Principal Tuba in the Youth Orchestra of the Province of Alicante, (Senior – Section of musicians from 15 to 26 years old), whose conductor is in charge titular Francisco Maestre, having made several tours of the auditoriums throughout the province of Alicante and having performed with soloists such as Arnau Moncunill, Carlos Santo, Sergei Redkin, Violeta Casero, Carla Leurs or Jaime Naya, among others …
In 2017, with this orchestra he made a European Tour through Netherlands and Austria, obtaining in the SUMMA CUM LAUDE Festival Competition in Vienna the FIRST PRIZE, in the Symphony Orchestra Category, being the youngest musician of the same.
The same award, that is, FIRST PRIZE, obtained with said orchestra in the same competition in 2018.
Also, in 2019, he collaborates with the Orihuela Professional Conservatory Orchestra “Pedro Terol”, under the baton of its holder Antonio Pujol Pastor.
In August 2019, he is selected to participate in the LOW BRASS ENSEMBLE and in the BRASS CORNO FESTIVAL ENSEMBLE 2019, in the Polish city of Zielona Gora.

In 2015, he participated in the III National Contest of Tuba de la Vila Joiosa (Alicante), in its corresponding category, obtaining FIRST PRIZE and PRIZE FOR THE HIGHEST SCORE.
In 2016, he participated in the IV National Contest of Tuba de la Vila Joiosa, in its corresponding category, obtaining FIRST PRIZE.
In 2017, he won the FIRST PRIZE in the II Contest of Young Performers “Ciudad de Sagunto”, Brass category.
In May 2017, he participated in the V National Contest of Tuba de la Vila Joiosa, in its corresponding category, obtaining FIRST PRIZE and PRIZE TO THE HIGHEST SCORE.
In 2017, he participated in the III Young Performers Competition “La Familiar” in Benisanó (Valencia), obtaining FIRST PRIZE in the Metal Wind Category.
In 2018, he participated in the III Contest for Young Soloists “Fes Art” in Valencia, in the Metal Wind category, obtaining FIRST PRIZE.
In 2018, he participated in the International Contest of Wind Instruments “TERRAS DE LA SALETTE” in Oliveira de Azemeis (Portugal), winning the FIRST PRIZE in his Category.
In the same year, he participated in the VIII National Contest of Tuba de la Vila Joiosa, in its corresponding category, obtaining FIRST PRIZE and PRIZE FOR THE HIGHEST SCORE.
In 2018, he participated in the XIX Regional Competition of Musical Interpretation organized by the Federation of Musical Societies of the Valencian Community Vega Baja Baix Vinalopó, obtaining the FIRST PRIZE AND HONORABLE MENTION in the final phase, in his Metal Wind Category.
In 2018, he participated in the International Contest organized in Madrid by the Spanish Association of Tubas and Euphoniums AETYB, within the category of Young Promised Tubas, winning the FIRST PRIZE.
In March 2019, he participated in the 12th Young Performers Contest “Villa de Castellnovo” (Castellón), obtaining the FIRST PRIZE in his Category.
In April 2019, he participated in the International Contest “La Noche en Madrid”, winning the FIRST PRIZE in his Category.
Also in April 2019, he won the FIRST PRIZE AND HONORABLE MENTION of the 10th Competition of Young Performers Escola de Musical “Joan Garcés Queralt” of Faura (Valencia), also obtaining the highest score of all the participating Metal Wind contestants.
In May 2019, he was awarded the FIRST ABSOLUTE PRIZE in the 29th International Competition of Young Musicians “Cittá di Barletta” (Italy) in the Category of Wind Instrumentalists, with a score of 99/100.
In June 2019, he participated in the IX National Contest of Tuba de la Vila Joiosa, in its corresponding category, obtaining FIRST PRIZE and PRIZE FOR THE HIGHEST SCORE.
In January 2021, he participated in the I International Contest of Metals of
New Zealand, in the Young Artists category, obtaining FIRST PRIZE.
In February 2021, participate in the I International Music Contest SONUS from Italy, in its corresponding category, obtaining FIRST ABSOLUTE PRIZE.

In 2019 he was awarded by the Real Liceo Casino de Alicante Cultural Society and the Rotary Lucentum Club as a Young Talent from Alicante.
In February 2020 he performed as a Tuba Soloist with the Alicante Municipal Symphonic Band interpreting the Concertino for Tuba and Symphonic Band by the Portuguese author Carlos Marques, under the direction of its conductor Jose Vicente Díaz Alcaina.
In 2020, Samuel is selected by the Royal Concertgebouw of Amsterdam (Netherlands), considered one of the best Orchestras in the World, as a Principal Tuba to be part of his Young Orchestra within the Young Talent promotion program called “Young”, receiving classes monthly from the great tubist Perry Hoogendijk.
In addition to his education, he has taken courses, having received classes from such important teachers as Josep Burguera, Stefan Ambrosius, Roland Szentpali, Pablo Fernández, Oscar Abella, Álvaro González, Eduardo Nogueroles, José Martínez Antón, Sergio Finca, David Llacer, Jose Manuel Redondo, Mario Torrijo, Miguel Moreno, Perry Hoogendijk, Sergio Rey, Adrián Albaladejo, Nuno Machado, Vicente López, Ricardo Carvalhoso, Andy Smith, Pedro Castaño, Manuel Dávila, Arnaud Boukhitine, Walter Stormont, LLuis Verde, Juan Palacios, Ramiro Tejero, Miguel Valles, Jose Vicente Climent, Eric Rey, Luis Gimeno, Pedro Rodriguez, Ismael Cantos, Avital Handler, Joaquín Díaz, etc …
