A Graduate from Evangel College (Primary Section) (HK), Anakin is studying at Chetham’s School of Music (UK) under the tutelage of Murray Greig and Tracey Redfern on trumpet, Lauryna Sableviciute on piano. His trumpet teachers also include Paul Archibald, Joseph Ngan, Kelvin Ngai and Jimmy Tung. 

Anakin has performed in Hong Kong, United Kingdom, Poland & Beijing as a soloist in various events. Since 2016, Anakin has won more than hundred First Prizes and Awards from competitions in Hong Kong, USA, United Kingdom, Canada, France, Sweden,  Estonia, Slovenia, Ukraine, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Singapore, Thailand and South Korea. At his age of 12 he was the youngest champion in all his Open Class Brass Solo competitions.

Anakin released his music albums “Pot-pourri” and “Sūrnāy Musique” when he was 11 and 13 years old respectively. Anakin’s recording on Thorvald Hansen’s Cornet Sonata and Tomaso Albinoni’s  Trumpet Concerto has won more than 45 awards in both local and overseas online music competitions. In 2019 & 2020, other than public performances, Anakin held three trumpet recitals in Hong Kong, participated in broadcasting projects with Radio Television Hong Kong TV31 “Arts on Air ~ Music Platform” as well as Leisure & Cultural Services Department online music programme “Hong Kong Home-brewed Music Prodigies”. Recent projects include a music video and recording work in a Macau/HK pop singer Mr. Terence  Tsui’s  (Siu Fay) newly released song 《Loser》cooperating with famous song writer/arranger/producer Mr CHAN Fai Young.

Anakin was selected to be the “Most Promising Brass Player” at Southend Music Festival UK in 2018. In 2021, Anakin was granted the  “Hong Kong Outstanding Young Musician Award” by International Fringe Association, awarded the“Best Musician Award Scholarship”  by Evangel College, selected as the awardee of the “73^rd HKSMSA Grantham Music Award Scholarship”, selected as the “Stars of Tomorrow” (Trumpet)  by IYMC HK, awarded the “Artists of the Year (Brass, junior)” by IYMC USA.

Anakin likes to play football , basketball and ice-skating in his spare time.
